Head of Years 7 and 8 and Visual Arts teacher
Jason commenced teaching at St Paul’s Traralgon Campus early in 2015 and is passionate about the Arts.
We asked Jason a few questions about his teaching…
What do you like most about St Paul’s?
I love the enthusiasm of the students and their willingness to take risks in the art room. The staff at St Paul’s are all great and care so much for all the students they teach.
What do you think is different about St Paul’s to other schools?
The high standards the School sets and the expectation that everyone can succeed.
And finally, what do you enjoy most about being a teacher?
The “that turned out awesome” feeling that students get when they create a successful artwork or work out a design problem. I also love seeing the students pride in their work when it is displayed.
Jason loves all aspects of the Arts. He mainly paints and sculpts but also loves photography, design, woodwork and street art. Whether it is on his own or with his two boys, he is constantly making art. He also describes himself as a movie tragic and loves any kind of sport.
Jason strongly believes the world needs more artists!
