Director of Learning and Teaching and Teacher of Robotics, Maths and Humanities
There is nowhere else in Gippsland I would rather teach.
This is Stefan’s fifth year teaching at the St Paul’s Traralgon Campus. Prior to teaching he studied Engineering, Journalism and Psychology at University before completing a Graduate Diploma of Teaching. Stefan believes that teaching keeps him ‘young at heart’ and allows him to help form a positive future through education. He particularly enjoys seeing students achieve their goals whether it be in class, the arts or sport.
We asked Stefan few questions about his teaching…
What do you like most about St Paul’s?
“I just love the fact the students and staff hold such pride when representing the School. The students are motivated and this encourages the teachers to be the best that they can. There is nowhere else in Gippsland I would rather teach. I think that St Paul’s is different from other schools due to the high academic standard and the remarkable care and respect between staff and students.”
What subjects are you most passionate about and why?
“I love to coach soccer but I have a great passion for all sports. Sometimes that passion can cause me a bit of ‘white line fever’ but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I also have a passion for History, particularly ancient history, so Year 7 History is fantastic.”
Outside of work Stefan has a great passion for Liverpool FC with many early morning hours spent supporting them. He is also a passionate supporter of the Hawthorn Football club and loves travel, ancient history and food (any food)!
