Sports and Outdoor Education
Learning to work confidently with others – an important skill for the future.
The Health and Physical Education program focuses on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity. It promotes the development of motor skills and movement competence, health related physical fitness and sport education. Sport has a positive effect on students’ social interaction and self-esteem and all students regularly participate in sporting events in their House groups as a team. Students at St Paul’s also have a variety of sports on offer to participate in as outlined on our co-curricular page.
The Outdoor Education program develops students’ knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the natural environment and also improves independence, confidence and self-esteem. Students are challenged physically and mentally and learn the importance of safety in the outdoors.
The ability to work in a team is fostered so students learn to work confidently with others, an important skill for the future.
