Your child’s bright tomorrow begins today.

St Paul’s Junior Schools offer a curriculum that ensures the appropriate development of essential skills and provides a broad range of specialist learning opportunities.  Our Early Learning to Year 6 program offers students an engaging and enriching learning environment that nurtures the talents of each and every student, supporting in areas of challenge and extending in areas of accomplishment.

Our teachers are committed to ‘best-practice’ and visionary teaching, providing innovative learning experiences which foster a love of learning.  All students are encouraged to achieve personal excellence in all areas of the curriculum.

In addition to an enriching and engaging curriculum of core and specialist areas of learning, St Paul’s students have access to a broad range of co-curricular programs.  From drama performances and instrumental music to sporting teams and art exhibitions, all students have the opportunity to discover their forte and strive for excellence in all that they do.

STEM

After many months of research and preparation, new to our curriculum program in 2017 is the introduction of a specialist Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Centre. STEM is widely talked about in the education sector and is taught in our specialised STEM Centre. STEM is a national priority closely linked to Australia’s productivity and economic future.

Under the guidance of our STEM coordinator and STEM action team, all students from the Early Learning Centre to Year 6, have the opportunity to participate in problem-based learning projects that encompass a STEM, cross- disciplinary approach.  The program develops student interest in STEM-related fields and improves problem-solving, critical analysis and creative thinking skills.

We strive to raise foundational skills in STEM learning areas, by developing mathematical, scientific and technological literacy while promoting the development of core competencies for the 21st century. Specific skills such as robotics, electronics and coding are also taught to improve the confidence of students and their capacity to transfer knowledge, understanding and practical ability across STEM subjects and contexts.

The STEM Centre is highly engaging for students and an exciting addition to our Junior School curriculum.
