Healthy Achievement Program
St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School – a health promoting school.
St Paul’s is part of the Victorian Government’s Healthy Together Achievement Program. Both Campuses are now actively involved in delivering the program which supports schools to create healthy environments for learning, working and living. The program encourages a holistic view of health for children, families, staff and the entire school community.
A whole school Health and Wellbeing team has now been formed to focus on delivering the Achievement Program that covers eight health priority areas:
- Healthy eating and oral health
- Physical activity
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Safe environments
- Tobacco control
- Sun protection
- Sexual health
- Alcohol and other drugs
The canteen menus have been assessed by the Healthy Eating Advisory Service and now comply with the Victorian Government School Canteens and Other School Food Service Policy.
As a Health Promoting School under the Healthy Achievement Program we are leading the way with our progress so far. I would like to thank the assistance and support which has been provided to St Paul’s by Lizzie O’Callaghan, Community Dietician and Angela Greenall, Health Promotion Officer from West Gippsland Health Care.
