Curriculum

Your child’s bright tomorrow begins today.

IMG_9581The Traralgon Junior School offers a curriculum that ensures the development of essential skills, and includes a broad range of specialist learning opportunities.  Our Early Learning to Year 6 program offers students an engaging and enriching learning environment that nurtures the talents of each student by supporting in areas of challenge and extending in areas of accomplishment.

Our teachers are committed to ‘best-practice’ and visionary teaching, providing innovative learning experiences which foster skills, values and attitudes that provide students with a love of learning.  All students are encouraged to achieve personal excellence in all areas of the curriculum.

In addition to a curriculum of core and specialist areas of learning, St Paul’s students have access to a broad range of co-curricular programs.  From drama performances and instrumental music to sporting teams and art exhibitions, all students have the opportunity to discover their forte and strive for excellence.

One of the unique aspects of the Traralgon Campus is our wetlands area, which makes up part of the school property. This incredible ‘open-air’ classroom allows us to bring our STEM program alive, as we study Science and Technology, through indigenous studies, camping and cooking, outdoor survival and orienteering. It also allows us to intimately study our local environment, with every year level from ELC upwards able to access over 80 acres. Such a wonderful resource right on our doorstep is the sort of thing schools can usually only dream of as it offers adventures for our students in the outdoor domain.
