Traralgon Secondary School
St Paul’s has a reputation for providing opportunities that enrich and recognise the unique talents of our students.
Welcome to the secondary years of schooling at St Paul’s where our focus is to give students a wide variety of experiences. The Secondary School offers opportunities for all students to become life-long learners. It develops the full potential of each student through an innovative academic, cultural, spiritual and sporting program, all provided within a caring and supportive pastoral environment.
One of the strengths of St Paul’s Traralgon is the close knit team and the strong sense of community we foster. Our students know all of their teachers very well and equally, our staff know the students exceptionally well. The ability to foster meaningful relationships with adults and students is a key developmental stage for adolescents and our specialised middle school environment is the perfect setting for this stage in our student’s journey.
Every student is placed within a Mentor Group. These smaller groups within the school help create a sense of belonging and identity. Mentors and Heads of Year monitor the daily needs of the students in their care.
All students in the Secondary School have their own notebook computer. The buildings have full network connectivity via cable and wireless technology. This enables each class to have access to information and research online using the latest technology.
There are many opportunities for leadership in the Secondary School and students can aspire to become School Captains, House Captains, members of the Student Representative Council, Peer Support Leaders and captains of sporting and co-curricular activities. Our teachers support these students to develop their leadership skills as they take on the challenges of their chosen activity.
