Students hit the trails at State Finals

Students from St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School’s Traralgon Campus recently rode the trails at the recent 2016 Victorian Interschools Cycling Series (VICS) Mountain Bike (MTB) Series State Final in Bendigo.

Year 7 student Flynn McLuckie placed second in the 2 laps – Long Course 6.6 km U13M_Novice race.  Flynn had some exceptional races throughout the entire series leading him to take first place overall for the whole series against the entire state for his division.

Year 5 student Fletcher Stasinowsky placed sixth in the 2 laps – Long Course 6.6 km U13M_Novice race with Year 7 student Marshall Stasinowsky placing 23rd in the 3 laps – Long Course 9.9km U15M_Novice race.

The students did well leading up to the State Final, competing in various rounds throughout the year at Dromana, You Yang’s Park near Geelong and Lysterfield Park.

Students receive points for their school every time they compete in the VICS MTB which go towards the School Aggregate Champions trophy and St Paul’s came 13th out of around 180 schools.
